The Virtual Currencies page is where you define the virtual currency types for your app.
After creating virtual currencies for your app, link them to your products and user items, so your app end-users can consume these denominations with them.
Common examples of Virtual Currencies are:
Coins
Coin Doubler
Gems
Bars
Pearls
Wood
Steel
Stone
Note: If your app has an Energy System (eg. Spend a Heart for a play, Hearts refill over time.") then you should not rig this as a Virtual Currency, this is easier to rig as a User Entity.
Creating a virtual currency
Advance the Design | Marketplace | Virtual Currencies page, click the [Create] button at the upper-right corner of the Virtual Currencies list.
Enter a name with no spaces in the Currency Name field, and pick a color from the Hex Color Picker pop-up or directly enter the hex color code into the Currency Color field. The color can be edited after the creation.
Hit the Create button to save the currency.
You can opt to remove a Virtual Currency in the event that it was mistakenly created. To do so, click on the Delete icon located on the far right of the currency row. Deleting a Virtual Currency can have adverse effects on your app, so it is advised to use that feature only during development.
Implementing a virtual currency
Apply it to a user-item catalog.
Apply it to a product.
Once users purchase this product, that also means they purchase the linked virtual currency with the amount defined here through marketplace transactions.
Apply it as a reward to your app gamification section, such as XP Levels, Achievements, Milestones, and Quests.
Award and consume these virtual currencies through brainCloud virtualCurrency service APIs.
Also, you can award and consume parent virtual currencies by setting up a shared account.
And the same for peer virtual currencies.
