brainCloud organizes features into key feature groups (or categories) based on the type of server resources they utilize. These categories are then packaged into Plans to allow customers to select the feature set and usage levels that best suit their needs.
The different feature categories are based on the sort of server utilization involved:
Core features use our basic request+response APIs. The great majority of our features fall under this category.
RTT features leverage our Real-time Tech subsystem, which utilizes a WebSocket channel from the client library to enable asynchronous communication with clients. This eliminates polling and enables real-time Chat, Online Matchmaking, Presence, and more.
Deep Data features utilize the database more effectively for enhanced data storage and higher performance retrievals. This enables our Custom Entity and Messaging services.
Hosting features utilize our server management systems to launch custom Room and Relay servers worldwide for intense multiplayer matches.
Enterprise features leverage advanced systems, including our Blockchain Framework, Datastream Framework (for streaming analytics events), and Peer Services Frameworks. Enterprise-level plans also feature a Service Level Agreement (SLA) for our services.
